In 2010, Jeff Jacobson founded Clocktower Tax Credits, LLC to specialize in the placement of federal and state tax credits with institutional investors including corporations, banks and insurance companies. Jeff is currently focused on the Renewable Energy sector and the opportunities afforded by the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. A pioneer in state tax credits with over twenty years of experience, Jeff has structured and closed transactions in more than thirty states. He is a frequent speaker at industry forums and seminars on the tax credit marketplace. From 2001 to 2010, Jeff was a principal with Foss and Company, a national leader in brokering tax credit investments, where he raised over $250 million in equity capital. Prior to this, he acquired tax credit interests for syndicator Boston Capital and for the portfolios of both GE Capital and Edison International. Jeff’s past experience also includes developing and financing regional malls, casino resorts and residential properties. Jeff holds a B.S. in Engineering from Cornell University and an M.S. in Real Estate from MIT.
David Curtis joined Clocktower Tax Credits in 2016 as an Acquisitions Associate specializing in Real Estate-based tax credits. Now a Senior Associate, David focuses on over 30 state and federal Affordable Housing, Historic Rehabilitation, Workforce, and Brownfield tax credit programs nationwide, helping real estate developers of qualifying affordable housing and historically certified properties access financing through the monetization of tax credits. David has helped facilitate the development of over 145 projects in 14 states, including more than 60 affordable housing developments across the state of Illinois, where he is in the Emerging Leader program of the Illinois Housing Council. David also seeks out business development tax credits including Research and Development, Venture Capital, Angel Investment, and other incentives.
David holds a B.A. in Economics and Hispanic Studies from Hamilton College, where he led the Investment Club and Chess Club. He lives in New York City with his wife, Kate, and is an avid Boston sports fan and chess player, achieving a top competitive ranking of 1830.
Heather Martel joined Clocktower Tax Credits in 2017 as the Office Manager. Heather is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations at Clocktower Tax Credits, including: Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Facilities Management. This includes organization and coordination of office operations, procedures and resources to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Previously, she worked as a manager for both an Editorial Firm and a Design Firm.
Heather has over 20 years of experience in office management and has developed a wide variety of skill sets which include Accounting, Editorial, Human Resources, Customer Service, and Information Technology. She holds a B.S. in Business Management from Fitchburg State University.
Dave Auster joined Clocktower Tax Credits in 2023 as a Senior Associate, focusing primarily on Real Estate-based Tax Credits including Historic Rehabilitation, Affordable Housing and Brownfields. Dave covers the Eastern half of the country for Clocktower, helping project developers structure their tax credit financing and then monetizing their tax credits to meet project equity needs. Dave also works with companies looking to purchase transferrable credits, as well as investors looking for allocable credits available on a Federal and State level.
Dave brings over 20 years of tax credit experience to the table and has spent the bulk of his time working with the programs in the states of Pennsylvania, Connecticut and New Jersey. He holds an Economics degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey. Dave currently resides in Pinehurst, NC with his wife and two children, Brian and Samantha.
Haley Ricker joined Clocktower Tax Credits in 2023 as an Acquisitions Associate specializing in Film-based tax credits. She started her career working in the legal field before transitioning into the entertainment industry after moving to Los Angeles. Her previous position at a feature film sales, finance, and production company gave her hands on experience in multiple facets of filmmaking. Haley now focuses on helping producers monetize their tax credits and reviewing their projects for financing opportunities.
Haley holds a B.A. in Sociology and Legal Studies from Clemson University. She currently resides in Los Angeles, with her husband, James, and their dog.
